Haskins Residential Care (HRC) has been in business for over 20 years providing a home care to  the mental health community. We provide 24 hour personal care and supportive services for clients who are at risk of being re-hospitalized due to decompensation resulting in mental health disorders. All services shall be client centered, that recognize varying levels of individual goals, diverse needs, strengths, motivators, and disabilities. Services shall provide in a therapeutic environment in where clients are supported in their efforts to acquire interpersonal living skills.

 

HRC is a family run business stemming from generations of family members providing care in a residential setting. We understand individuals with mental illness can flourish when they are treated with respect and live in a structured environment. Our goal with our staff and partnerships is to make ourselves part of the client's extended family. For those individuals that have no family involvement we become family for them. Sometimes it's the simple gestures we do that show we care forinstance Holiday dinners, BBQs, and movies.

 

We provide 24 hour staffing so our clients never feel alone, there is always someone they can reach out to for help or to talk. With the assistance of a great staff we give guidance on basic living skills, maintenance of their personal living space, nutrition, budgeting, cleaning, and planning of their leisure time.

 

HRC goals are to assist each client:

• To move to a higher level of independent functioning.

• To assist in maintaining a drug and alcohol sobriety.

• To prevent regression and/or reduce re-hospitalization.

• To provide an opportunity for the mentally ill to reside in a home environment.

• To assist in maximixing the clients' ability to function in the community.
